Ambarella - Hog Plum DWARF

The Dwarf Ambarella or Hog Plum is a highly ornamental tree growing to 4m. The ripe yellow plum like fruit can be eaten fresh or made in to juices. The young leaves can also be steamed or stir fried as a vegetable.

Hog plum like similar conditions to mango, thriving in humid tropical and subtropical areas.

Tolerant of many types of soil as long as they are well drained. Trees are cold sensitive when young and should be protected from heavy frost and strong winds.Will fruit best in full sun but will have reduced crops in a shaded area.

Please Note: Plants are tall and may need to be cut to fit in box. This is not an issue and they will reshoot with the right care.
